Wild Turkey Seasons

Unless his or her privilege is limited or revoked pursuant to law, an eligible person may apply once for a type of hunt for Wild Turkey during a draw period.

Only one person may apply on an application.

Except for those Wild Turkey hunts requiring the landowner to sign the application, Wild Turkey applications must be submitted online through www.ndowlicensing.com. Hand delivered applications will not be accepted. Applications will be accepted until 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. Applications for bonus points only will be accepted until 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026. The release date will be on or before Friday, Feb. 13, 2026.

Except as specified for the Junior Wild Turkey Hunts and Landowner Hunts, any remaining tags will be available on a first come, first serve basis through www.ndowlicensing.com. Remaining tags will be sold until seven (7) weekdays prior to the close of the season.

Only one Wild Turkey tag can be awarded to an individual within a calendar year.

Hunting Hours: One half hour before sunrise to sunset.

A Paradise Valley of Humboldt County application form is required. Hunters can obtain these forms from the participating landowners. A landowner must sign the application form. The form must be submitted through the mail or over the counter during business hours, M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact NDOW at 775-688-1500 for more information. Tags will be available until the close of the season. Internet applications for the Paradise Valley of Humboldt County hunt will not be available. Only one person may apply on an application.

Silver State Turkey Tags

A Silver State Turkey Tag option will be available for the first time during the 2026 Spring Turkey Season. The application period begins Jan. 26, 2026 on ndowlicensing.com.

Wild Turkey Questionnaire

Sportsmen who receive a turkey tag MUST submit a harvest return card. Regardless of harvest, the questionnaire must be received by the following dates:

  • 2025 Fall Turkey Questionnaire due Nov. 30, 2025
  • 2026 Spring Turkey Hunt Questionnaire due May 31, 2026

A person who fails to return the questionnaire by these dates will be required to pay a $50 penalty and submit their questionnaire by the close of the following Spring Turkey application period. Failure to submit the questionnaire by the application period closure will result in the denial of all turkey tags for one year.
