WMA Regulations: T-Z

This section of the 2024-2025 Hunting Seasons and Regulations provides information related to lands managed for hunting by Wildlife Resources Division.

Small game and furbearers may be hunted subject to statewide seasons and bag limits (Small Game and Trapping Seasons, Dates & Limits) except during quota hunts and unless otherwise specified in a specific area listing.

Please review the legend below. Each listing will have a list of applicable symbols located in its header as a quick reference.

Area Notes

Archery only area is archery equipment for all species. Dog-deer hunters must check in at check station. Dog-deer hunting allowed in designated areas only. All dogs must be marked with the hunter’s name and phone number. All vehicles used in the dog-deer hunt must display DNR issued permit on vehicle dash. Hunting area will be closed to all users during dog-deer hunt except to hunters with a valid quota permit.

North Tract from Ludowici: Take HWY 57 East 4.2 miles; Turn right onto Old Barrington Rd; go 4.0 miles, kiosk is on the right at the junction of Middleton Lake Rd and Old Barrington Rd. South Tract from Darien Take HWY 251 West; in approx. 3 miles bear left onto Cox Hwy; follow Cox HWY through Cox for 8.5 miles; kiosk is on left. Pine Island Tract from Ludowici Take HWY 57 East 4.2 miles; Turn right onto Old Barrington Rd; go 0.75 miles; kiosk is on right at the junction of Pine Island Rd and Old Barrington Rd.

No gasoline engines allowed on waterfowl ponds. No fishing in managed waterfowl impoundments. No fishing from bridges. No hog dogs.
