Shooting Ranges

DNR provides recreational archery and target firearms shooting ranges around the state. For the convenience of range visitors, rules are posted at all ranges. Hearing and eye protection are required at all firearms ranges. Please visit or call at 706-557-3355 for hours, complete rules, and specific range information. We hope you will enjoy visiting one of our ranges soon.

Land Access: Any person, ages 16 and older, entering a WMA or PFA must possess a valid license for hunting or fishing or a Lands Pass (exclusions apply). Visit for a list of all public properties and access requirements.

Mike Commander (Chickasawhatchee), Clybel, Dixon Memorial, Richmond Hill, West Point, and Wilson Shoals WMAs

Sunrise to sunset daily; $5 per shooter.
CLOSED: Tuesdays until noon.

John’s Mountain WMA
