State Wildlife Area Regulations

The following language pertains to game bird hunting regulations only. Regulations regarding big game hunting can be found in the Oregon Big Game Regulations. All other rules regarding Department administered WAs can be found online at myodfw.com/visit-odfw-wildlife-areas. Posted Refuges and Safety Zones are closed to hunting. The Department may evict any person from a state WA for violation of any Department rules or regulations or when continued presence of that person could cause a threat to the rights and safety of others or property. A WA parking permit is required at certain WAs.

Columbia Basin WAs

Coyote Springs

Located out of Boardman. Open to hunting during authorized seasons except for big game. Phone: 541-276-2344. See area rules.

Irrigon

Located on the Columbia Rvr between Irrigon and Umatilla Rvr. Open to hunting during authorized seasons. Phone: 541-276-2344. See area rules.

Power City

Located between Hermiston and Umatilla. Open to hunting during authorized seasons. Phone: 541-276-2344. See area rules.

Willow Creek

Located adjacent to I-84 approximately 14 Mi west of Boardman. Access is through Threemile Canyon (exit 151), then follow signs. Open to hunting during authorized seasons. Phone: 541-276-2344. See area rules.

Rules for the Columbia Basin WAs

All of the above Columbia Basin WAs are open seven days a week. No entry permit is required for wildlife-oriented public use unless otherwise excluded or restricted by the following:

• Camping or overnight stay is prohibited.
• Open fires are prohibited.
• Discharging shotguns at Power City and Irrigon is prohibited except during authorized game bird and game mammal seasons.
• Discharging firearms other than shotguns is prohibited except at Willow Creek WA.
• No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs.
• Entry into the area between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. is prohibited except in designated parking areas.
• Leaving decoys set out overnight (10 p.m. through 4 a.m.) is prohibited.
• Placing waterfowl hunting sites closer than 200 yards apart is prohibited.
• Digging, for any purpose including concealment while hunting, is prohibited.

Coquille Valley

Located about 3.5 Mi north of Coquille adjacent to Hwy 42 and North Bank Ln in Coos Co. The area is 687 acres in size and consists of the Beaver Slough and Winter Lk Tracts. Phone: 541-888-5515.

In addition to state and federal laws, the following rules apply to public use of Coquille Valley WA:

• Visitors must possess a Hunting/Access permit at all times. Permits are available at the self-check station located at the parking lot along North Bank Ln.
• Access to the WA must be through the access point located on North Bank Ln.
• Parking is allowed in WA designated parking areas only.
• Hunting/Access permits must be completed and returned to a check-out box located at the parking lot by the end of the day.
• The Beaver Slough Tract is open to public use and hunting daily.
• The Winter Lk Tract is open to public use and hunting Wed., Sat., Sun. and state and federal holidays Sept. 1 through Jan. 31.
• Feb. 1 through August 31 the Winter Lk Tract is open to public use and hunting daily.
• The WA is open to public access 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• No vehicles or boats with gas powered motors may be used on or launched from the WA except by access permit from ODFW.
• No person shall possess or use shot other than federally approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs.
• Camping is prohibited.
• Leaving decoys out overnight (10 p.m. to 4 a.m.) is prohibited.

Denman

Located six Mi north of Medford, just west of White City. Phone: 541-826-8774.

Big game and game bird hunting is allowed during authorized hunting seasons according to the restrictions described below for specific units. All hunters must check in and out each day at self-service check stations located throughout the WA.

In addition to general state and federal laws the following are prohibited:

• No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs.
• Hunting within posted safety zones surrounding Whetstone Lk and a posted area north of TouVelle Rd.

Hall Tract Unit

ODFW land north and west of East Gregory Rd, east of Table Rock Rd, south of Ave A and west of Agate Rd. Beginning Nov. 1 through the end of waterfowl season, hunting is allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day only.

E.E. Wilson

Located on Hwy 99W, approximately 10 Mi north of Corvallis. Big game, game bird, and rabbit hunting is allowed only by permit issued by ODFW, during authorized seasons (Sept. 1, 2024 - Feb. 28, 2025). Spring turkey hunting is allowed for participants of Department organized programs with an access permit. Hunting is only open to participants in Department organized events on Sept. 28 and 29.

Permits are free and are available at self-service check stations located at area parking lots. Hunters must check in and out daily. No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs. Federally approved nontoxic shot is also required in the trap shooting area. Public use is prohibited between the hours of 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. From Sept. 30 - Oct. 31, all game bird hunters are required to have in possession a Western Oregon fee pheasant permit and an upland game bird validation to hunt on the area. See License, Tag, & Permit Fees. All hunting during Sept. 30 - Oct. 31 ends at 5 p.m. Rabbit hunting is permitted from Nov. 1 - Feb. 28. Phone: 541-745-5334.

In addition to the rules listed in “Dogs on Dept Lands” (Protect Your Dog In The Outdoors), dogs may also be off leash while accompanied by a licensed hunter when being used to hunt rabbits during the authorized season, including while going to or coming from hunting locations.

A rabbit hunt for people with disabilities will be held on Feb. 1, 2025. All hunters with an Oregon Disabilities Hunting and Fishing Permit and valid hunting license or disabled hunter’s license are eligible to participate. Members of the Marys Peak Hound Club will have dogs and dog handlers available to assist hunters. Pre-registration is requested with a maximum number of hunters limited to 50. Start time is 8:00 a.m. Only shotguns with federally-approved nontoxic shot may be used.

Fern Ridge

Located west of Eugene on Hwy 126. All lands owned or controlled by ODFW and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in and around Fern Ridge Reservoir are closed to all entry with the following exceptions listed below for the units. Phone: 541-935-2591.

No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs. Discharging firearms is prohibited except as authorized during game bird and game mammal seasons, or by permit. All garbage generated during hunting activities (including shotgun shells) should be removed. Open fires prohibited. The WA is closed to all public use between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.

Daily hunting permits are required for all units, must be possessed at all times by hunters, and must be completed and returned at the end of the day. Free daily permits are available at self-service check stations located in parking lots off Hwy 126 (West 11th Ave) Cantrell Rd, Green Oaks Dr, Halderson Rd, Nielson Rd, Royal Ave, Territorial Hwy and east Kirk Park on Clear Lake Rd. The WA is open to goose hunting only for the Sept. Canada Goose Season and Sept. youth waterfowl season.

East, West and South Coyote Units

Located south of Hwy 126 (West 11th Ave) and east of Central Rd on the east and west side of Coyote Cr. Marked trail to viewing platform accessible from Nielson Rd parking lot remains open daily year-round. Access is by designated trail only during periods of unit closures.

• May 1 - Oct. 6: Open to public use daily; open to hunting during authorized game bird and game mammal seasons. Sept. 7 and 8 are designated for Youth Upland Bird Hunt program (see Youth Hunting Opportunities). A Western Oregon fee pheasant permit is required for pheasant hunting from Sept. 9 - Oct. 6, except the South Coyote Unit is closed to the pheasant hunt and youth upland bird hunt.
• Oct. 7 - Nov. 15: Closed to all public access.
• Nov. 16 - Jan. 25: Open only for waterfowl hunting by reservation permit on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays until 1:00 p.m. Closed to all public access at 2:00 p.m. Check-in and blind selection will be held 1-1/2 hours before shooting time (see License, Tag, & Permit Fees). Permit holders not present at check-in time forfeit their permit for the day. A free drawing for stand-by hunters will be held at the same time to fill blinds left vacant by permit holders who do not arrive for the hunt. Hunters must check in at a check station trailer located at 27733 Ken Nielsen Rd. Permit holder may be accompanied by one guest. Nov. 30 and Dec. 30 are reserved for youth waterfowl hunters only. See Youth Hunts on Youth Hunting Opportunities and Reservation Application Procedures, Reservation & Permit Application.
• Jan. 26 - Jan. 31: Closed to all public access.
• Feb. 1: Open only for waterfowl hunting for qualified hunters during the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day until 1:00 p.m. Closed to all public access at 2:00 p.m. See Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt for check-in procedures.
• Feb. 2 - Apr. 30: Open to public use on Saturdays. Closed to all public access Sunday through Friday. Hunting and the discharge of firearms is prohibited.

Fisher Butte and Royal Amazon Units

Located north of Hwy 126 (West 11th Ave) and south of the Amazon Cr channel. Marked trails to viewing platforms accessible from the Royal Ave and Hwy 126 parking lots will remain open to public use daily, year-round. Designated rd and trail use only during periods of unit closures. Hunting is allowed during the dates and time specified below.

• May 1 - Oct. 6: Open to public use daily; open to hunting during authorized game bird and game mammal seasons. Sept. 7 and 8 are designated for Youth Upland Bird Hunt program (see Youth Hunting Opportunities). Western Oregon fee pheasant permit is required for pheasant hunting from Sept. 9 to Oct. 6.
• Oct. 7 - Oct. 11: Closed to all public access.
• Oct. 12 - Jan. 26: Open for public use and hunting until 1:00 p.m. daily. Closed to all public access after 2:00 p.m.
• Jan. 27 - Jan. 31: Closed to all public access.
• Feb. 1: Open only for waterfowl hunting for qualified hunters during the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day until 1:00 p.m. (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt for details including check-in procedures). Closed to all public access at 2:00 p.m.
• Feb. 2 - Apr. 30: Open to public use on Saturdays. Closed to all public access Sunday through Friday. Hunting and the discharge of firearms is prohibited.

All Other Units at Fern Ridge WA including Fern Ridge Lake

Open to public use daily and open to hunting during authorized game bird and game mammal seasons. Lane Co. and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks are closed to hunting and the discharge of firearms.

Klamath

Located six Mi south of Klamath Falls between Hwy 97 and the Klamath Rvr which forms the western boundary. The area contains 2,680 acres in the Miller Island Unit. In addition to this area, there are three outlying units: Gorr Island, Shoalwater Bay and Sesti Tgawaals, which contain an additional 990 acres.

Gorr Island is located four Mi south of the Miller Island Unit in the Klamath Rvr and is only accessible by boat. Shoalwater Bay and Sesti Tgawaals are both located on the west side of Upper Klamath Lk approximately 10 Mi to the north and west of Klamath Falls. Phone: 541-883-5732.

In addition to general state and federal laws, the following apply to Klamath WA:

• No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally approved nontoxic shot at any time.
• Public use is prohibited between the hours of 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.
• Camping is prohibited.
• Discharging firearms is prohibited except during authorized game bird hunting seasons.

Gorr Island, Shoalwater Bay and Sesti Tgawaals

Open for public use daily. Open for hunting daily during authorized hunting seasons. No permit required. For big game hunting, please see big game regulations.

Miller Island Unit

Miller Island Unit is divided into three subunits: A, B and C. Hunter numbers will be limited to 35 at any one time in each subunit.

• Subunit A: North of Miller Island Rd and east of Delameter Rd.
• Subunit B: West of Delameter and Miller Island Rds.
• Subunit C: East and South of Miller Island Rd.

Public Use

Authorized hunting seasons, hunt days, check station, and daily hunting permit information is listed in the sections below.

• May 1 - Sept. 30: Open to public use daily.
• Oct. 1 - Apr. 30: Open to public use on designated hunt days during authorized hunting seasons (see below). All other days are closed to all entry, except public rds, parking areas, the boat ramp, the designated birding trail and designated dog training area to minimize disturbance to migrating waterfowl.

Check Station and Daily Hunt Permits

Daily hunting permit is required while hunting at the Miller Island Unit. Hunters shall be in possession of permit while in the field; check out is required. Daily hunt permits are available at the check station located on the North side of Miller Island Rd just west of the railroad tracks.

• Sept. 1 - Oct. 11: Check station is self-serve, with permits available starting at 4 a.m.
• Oct. 12: Reservation hunting is in effect. Hunters with reservations (see Wildlife Area Reservation Hunts) will enter the hunt area before hunters without reservations. Hunters with reservations may arrive from 2 hours before the game bird shooting hours (on License, Tag, & Permit Fees) until ½ hour before game bird shooting hours. Unfilled reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the check station beginning ½ hour before game bird shooting hours.
• Oct. 13 - Nov. 30: Permits available at the check station starting 1 ½ hours before the game bird shooting hours on License, Tag, & Permit Fees.
• After Nov. 30: Check station is self-serve, with permits available starting at 4 a.m.

Mourning Dove

• Open daily during the authorized season in September. During October, open Mondays, Wednesday, and Saturdays and Oct. 13.
• Sept. 14 - 15, Sept. 28 - 29, and Oct. 26 are reserved for youth hunters only (see Youth Hunting Opportunities).

Pheasant and Quail

• Pheasant is open to youth hunters only on Sept. 14 - 15 (see Youth Hunting Opportunities).
• Pheasant is open Oct. 12 and 13 and every following Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday through Dec. 31.
  • From Oct. 18 - Nov. 30, pheasants will be released in all three subunits. Pheasants are donated by Unlimited Pheasants.
• Quail is open Oct. 12 and 13 and every following Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday through Dec. 31 and thereafter daily through Jan. 31.
• Oct. 26 is reserved for youth hunters only on a first-come, first-served basis (see Youth Hunting Opportunities).
• Pheasant and quail shooting hours during the regular season begin at 10 a.m.

Waterfowl and Snipe

• Open to youth waterfowl hunters only on Sept. 28 - 29.
• Open Oct. 12 and 13 and every following Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday during authorized seasons through Dec. 31. Reservation hunting is in effect on Oct. 12.
• Oct. 26 is reserved for youth hunters only on a first-come, first-served basis (see Youth Hunting Opportunities).
• Jan. 1 - Jan. 26: Open daily to hunting during authorized seasons.
• Open Feb. 1 for eligible hunters during the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt).

Ladd Marsh

Located five Mi south of La Grande in Union Co, hunting is allowed according to specific regulations listed below. Phone: 541-963-4954.

In addition to general state and federal laws, the following apply to Ladd Marsh WA:

• The area is closed between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. An entry permit is required at all other times.
• Free daily entry permits are available at self-service check stations located at area parking lots. Hunters and other visitors must check in and out daily.
• Leaving decoys set out overnight is prohibited (10 p.m. - 4 a.m.).
• Motorized boats are prohibited.
• Camping is prohibited.
• No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot or slugs.
• Discharging firearms is prohibited except when lawfully hunting during authorized game bird and big game hunting seasons.

Lands East of Foothill Rd

Except posted refuge areas and safety zones, areas are open to hunting on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays, Aug. 1 - Jan. 31 and open on Feb. 1 only for waterfowl hunting for qualified hunters during the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt).

Lands West of Foothill Rd

Closed to all entry Feb. 1 - Mar. 31 except by access permit issued by ODFW.

Sauvie Island

Located 10 Mi north of Portland off Hwy 30. The WA includes Westside, Eastside, Oak Island and North units, and the Columbia Rvr Beach area. Maps are available at check stations (Westside, Eastside, North units, and Willow Bar parking lot) and the WA Headquarters (18330 NW Sauvie Island Rd). The Willow Bar parking lot is located at the Multnomah-Columbia Co line on Reeder Rd. Portions of Sauvie Island WA are closed to all entry except when in possession of a valid daily public hunt area permit from Oct. 1 - Apr. 30. In addition to general state and federal laws, the following regulations also apply to all ODFW lands on Sauvie Island, including Gilbert Rvr and Sturgeon Lk.

• The WA is closed to hunting of game mammals, furbearers, predators, and unprotected and protected wildlife (except black-tailed deer, rabbit, crow, Eurasian collared-dove, and game birds). For black-tailed deer hunting, please see big game hunting regulations.
• The WA is closed to the public between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. daily.
• No person shall possess or use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time.
• Operation of boats in Sturgeon Lk Refuge is prohibited from Oct. 1 - Apr. 15. Operating boats over 5 mph is prohibited on all area Lks.
• Posted refuges, including Sturgeon Lk and North Oak Island, are closed to all hunting year-round.
• The Columbia Rvr Drainage District Dike is closed to all hunting.
• All dogs must be on leash except while accompanied by a licensed hunter when being used to hunt during authorized season, including while going to or coming from hunting locations or; pursuant to a valid “Competitive Hunting Dog Trial Permit” or “Sauvie Island WA Individual Dog Training Permit”.

Youth Hunting

Fee Pheasant

Sept. 16 - 29: In the Eastside Unit only. See Game Bird Seasons for additional details. Hunters must check in and out at Willow Bar and Eastside self-service check stations only, where ODFW dated public hunt area permits are available. In addition to a valid hunting license and public hunt area permit, all bird hunters are required to have in possession a Western Oregon fee pheasant permit and an upland game bird validation to hunt in the Eastside Unit. All bird hunting ends at 6 p.m.

North Unit and Columbia River Beaches

These areas are open to hunting every day of the authorized seasons for dove, snipe, pheasant, quail, duck, coot, crow, and Sept. Canada goose. Rabbit hunting is allowed in the North Unit only during Sept. 1 - Jan. 31, 2025. Voluntary check in and out at the North Unit parking lot located at the end of Reeder Rd is encouraged.

Westside, Eastside and Oak Island Units

Sept. 1 - 30: During this time period these units are open to hunting during authorized seasons for dove, quail, crow, and Sept. Canada goose. A free daily public hunt area permit is required in these units. Permits can be obtained at self-service check stations at the WA Headquarters, Westside, Eastside, and Willow Bar parking lot. See exceptions below:

• During the youth pheasant hunt (Sept. 14 & 15) the Eastside Unit is only open to youth hunt participants, see Youth Hunting Opportunities.
• During the Sept. youth waterfowl hunt (Sept. 28 - 29) the Westside Unit is only open to youth hunt participants, see Youth Hunting Opportunities.
• During the fee pheasant hunt (Sept. 16 - 29) Eastside Unit hunters must follow Fee Pheasant hunt procedures listed above.

Oct. 1 - Oct. 11: These units are closed to all hunting and all public access.

Oct. 12 - Jan. 26: During this time period these units are open to hunting during authorized seasons for dove, snipe, pheasant, quail, duck, coot, crow, and white geese, only on reservation hunt days. Shooting hours end at 4 p.m. and all hunters must check out at check stations by 6 p.m.

Feb. 1: Open only for duck, coot, and white goose hunting for qualified hunters during the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt).

A free daily public hunt area permit issued at the Westside or Eastside check stations is required in these units:

• Westside Unit: Public hunt area permits will be issued through a random number drawing conducted each hunt day at the Westside check station located at the north end of Sauvie Island Rd. Hunters wishing to participate in the drawing must be in the vehicle line at the Westside check station 1-1/2 hours before shooting time (License, Tag, & Permit Fees). Each hunter will be given the opportunity to draw a random number and hunters in parties (up to four members) will be assigned the lowest random number drawn among the party’s members. Hunters will be called via AM Radio Station 1580 to the check station in the order of their draw number to choose hunting sites and obtain public hunt area permits. Hunters arriving after 1-1/2 hours before shooting time will be issued remaining public hunt area permits on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Eastside and Oak Island Units: Public hunt area permits are issued to hunters holding reservations at the Eastside check station located at the intersection of Reeder and Rentenaar Rds. Reservations must be obtained through the controlled hunt draw process (see Wildlife Area Reservation Hunts) except for the Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt Day (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt). Reservation hunters must be in line at least 2 hours before shooting time and will be called via AM Radio Station 1580 to the check station by the check-in sequence number on their reservation. Unfilled reservations are available to hunters without reservations on a first-come, first-served basis at the check station beginning 1 hour before shooting time. Separate vehicle lines are designated for reservation and non-reservation hunters. Note: In the Oak Island Unit, water is not available until Columbia Rvr levels at Vancouver reach 15 feet.
• Westside, Eastside and Oak Island Units:
  • Hunters in check station lines must check through in the vehicles in which they arrive.
  • All hunting in units with designated shooting locations will be from the assigned blinds/sites, unless otherwise authorized. No more than four persons (one reservation hunter may bring up to three guest hunters) will be allowed at designated shooting sites in Mud Lk, Steelman, Holman Point, Mudhen, Racetrack, Hunt, Reeder Tract, Oak Island, Seal and Johnson units. In a non-designated shooting site unit (roam unit), only one non hunting person may accompany a permit holder, unless otherwise authorized.

Summer Lake

Located adjacent to Hwy 31 in north Lake Co, 100 Mi southeast of Bend. Over 60 percent of the area's 18,900 acres are open to big game and game bird hunting during authorized seasons (except as indicated below). Hunting is permitted seven days-a-week. Overnight camping is permitted at four designated sites on the area. Hunters must obtain a free daily hunting permit at Area Headquarters prior to hunting. No more than two daily hunt permits, valid for consecutive days, may be possessed at any one time. Hunters must check-out at the end of the day or following two consecutive days by depositing their daily hunting permit in a self-checkout box. In addition to general state and federal laws, the following are prohibited:

• Hunting in or shooting into posted refuges, campgrounds and safety zones.
• Operating motor vehicles on closed Rds or driving cross-country.
• Parking or leaving motor vehicles unattended except in areas designated for that use or in campgrounds.
• Leaving decoys set out overnight (8 p.m. to 4 a.m.).
• Possession or use of any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time, except for big game hunters using buckshot, slugs, or by permit issued by ODFW.
• Hunting geese during the Sept. Canada Goose Season and from Jan. 27 - Mar. 10, 2025 except for qualified persons during the Feb. 1, 2025 Veterans and Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt (see Veterans & Active Military Personnel Waterfowl Hunt).
• Driving of motor vehicles on Bullgate and Windbreak dikes, the Work Rd, and a portion of the Wildlife Viewing Loop from Sept. 25 - 29 and Oct. 5 - Feb. 1, 2025.
• From Oct. 5 through 4 a.m. on Oct. 12, entering any portion of the WA south of Thousand Springs Lane (Lake County Road 4-17), except the Foster Place unit and open roads and campgrounds.
• Entry into posted refuges during any authorized waterfowl season, except to retrieve lawfully taken wildlife.
• Operating boats with gas-powered motors.

Other Wildlife Areas Open to Game Bird Hunting

Bridge Cr. (Umatilla Co)

Open to public access and hunting Apr. 15 - Nov. 30. Motorized vehicle travel restricted to open rd. Phone: 541-276-2344.

Elkhorn (Baker/Union Cos)

Open to all public access Apr. 11 - Nov. 30, or by permit. Roth Tract closed to all hunting; an entry permit is required at all times of the year. Phone: 541-898-2826.

Enterprise (Wallowa Co)

Jewell Meadows (Clatsop Co)

All areas posted as “Wildlife Refuge” are closed to public access (entry). Posted portions of the Beneke Tract are closed to entry during any open Saddle Mtn Unit elk season. Lower Deschutes (Wasco/ Sherman Cos)

Open to the discharge of firearms only while hunting of big game and game birds during authorized seasons, except that discharge of firearms is prohibited within the Wild and Scenic waterway boundary from the third Saturday in May through August 31. Access by foot, boat, or bicycle only. Public access to the Woosley tract is only allowed from the Deschutes River through adjacent Bureau of Land Management lands. Phone: 541-544-2126.

Minam River (Wallowa Co)

Open to public access and hunting Apr. 1 - Nov. 30. Exception: Year-round public access is permitted on the Minam Rvr Trail and associated parking area along Hwy 82. Camping is prohibited. St. Louis Ponds (Marion Co)

Open for game bird hunting between the beginning of pheasant season and the end of waterfowl season. The following are prohibited: discharge of rifles and pistols; use any shot other than federally-approved nontoxic shot at any time; use of all floating crafts; and use of the area for any purpose between one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise. Open to hunting during authorized seasons, except the WA lands north of FR 27 are closed to the public from Dec. 1 - Mar. 31. Motor vehicles are prohibited except on parking areas, designated campsites, and open rds. No cross country travel or off rd motor vehicle use is allowed, except for administrative use. ATV/OHV and snowmobile use are prohibited on all area lands except for administrative use or by access permit issued by ODFW. Camping is prohibited except in designated campsites and shall not exceed a total of 14 days during any 30 day period. Campfires and open burning prohibited except at designated campsites.
