One adult may supervise one child. For designated quota hunts, group applications with up to three children allowed. Selected children must bring supervising adults.

Deer Hunting

During the statewide primitive weapons deer season, youth under 16 years of age may hunt deer with any legal deer firearm. Additionally, youth under 16 years of age may hunt deer with any legal deer firearm during any WMA primitive weapons hunts.

Dogs & Dog Training

Dogs must be confined or kept on a leash except when hunting or training during designated seasons or on designated areas. On the Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forests outside of WMAs, dog training is allowed August 15 – May 31, except as provided below for bears and hogs.
