  • Neversink River and tributaries within the Neversink River Unique Area and owned by the people of the State of New York situated in the Towns of Thompson and Forestburgh and abutting that reach of the Neversink River from the Sullivan-Orange county line upstream to its confuence with Mercer Brook, except any portion thereof where the right to fish is privately owned.

WEST BRANCH CROTON RIVER

• From confuence with East Branch Croton River upstream to Croton Falls Reservoir Dam

WILLOWEMOC CREEK

  • From the second Rte. 17 Quickway Bridge east of Roscoe upstream 3.5 miles to 1200 feet upstream of the confuence with Elm Hollow Brook

WATERS WHERE SNATCHING IS PERMITTED

The taking of fish by snatching, but not blind snatching (see page 70), is permitted from Jan 1–Mar 15 only as follows:

  • In Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties, suckers may be taken from any stream.

    WATERS WHERE SPEARFISHING IS PERMITTED

The taking of fish by spear (not spear gun) is permitted only as follows:

  • In Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties, suckers may be taken in any stream from Jan 1–May 15
