Artificial Reefs
Florida manages one of the most diverse, and most active artificial reef programs in the United States. As of April 2024, the FWC Artificial Reef Program has recorded over 4,299 artificial reef deployment locations state-wide. In the past six months, over 124 new artificial reefs have been constructed and the locations from a subset of the most recent reefs are listed in the table (deployment CO0051 renamed to honor longtime president of the Marco Island Sportfishing Club, Captain Pete Arcidiacono).
