Natchez Trace State Park Firing Range

TWRA Hunter Education and Range Facility

Hours:
Tuesday: 12:00 p.m.– 9 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m.– 9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.

All guns must be cased when not in use.

 

REGION II

Cheatham WMA Firing Range and Archery Range
1299 Headquarters Rd., Ashland City, TN 37015
Randy Cromer (615) 792-4510. Use or possession of alcoholic beverages prohibited. Field points only for archery. Automatic firearms prohibited. Must purchase the range permit from a TWRA license agent. No permits available at range. Fee required.

Hours: Daily: 12 noon until dark

Range closed Aug. 11, Sep. 15, Oct. 20.

 

Montgomery County Shooting Complex

Permits must be purchased before entrance to range. Fee required.

Hours:
Thursday: 3 p.m. until sunset

(April–Nov. Archery and Shotgun Ranges Only)

Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m. until sunset

Sunday: 1 p.m. until sunset (but no later than 8 p.m.)

 

Stones River Hunter Education Center
2618 Hobson Pike, Antioch, TN. Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Call (615) 641-8896 for times. Fee required.

Hours:
April–Oct.: Fri.–Sat. 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sun. 1–6 p.m.

Nov.–March: Fri.–Sat. 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Sun. 1–4:30 p.m.

Yanahli Firing Range

Automatic firearms prohibited.

 

REGION III

Catoosa WMA
Peavine Campground and Genesis Checking Station.

Open: Apr. 1–Jan. 31, except during deer archery hunts and turkey hunts. Daylight hours only.

Prentice Cooper WMA
Clint Smith (423) 658-0298. Rifles and handguns only. No shotguns.

Open: Thursdays through Mondays, daylight hours only. Opens at noon CST on Sundays. Closed during WMA big game hunts.

 

REGION IV

John Sevier Hunter Education Center
2327 Rifle Range Road, Knoxville. Shaun Ramsey (865) 594-6279. Fee required.

Hours:
Pistol/rifle/archery ranges open:
Tuesday and Thursday: 1 p.m.–6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m.–6 p.m.

Shotgun ranges open:
Saturday and Sunday: 1 p.m.–6 p.m.
Tuesday: 6:30 p.m.–10 p.m. (must arrive by 7 p.m. on Tuesdays)

 

Chuck Swan WMA Firing Range
