New 2013 Regulations

• » Statewide
• Statewide Hook Restriction: Unless otherwise restricted in this guide, anglers are restricted to a maximum of 3 hooks per rod, pole, or hand-held line. Single, double, or treble hooks each count as one hook. This restriction does not apply to the Sabiki or piscatore rigs, which are a set of small lures attached along a single line. Also, the Umbrella Rig Restriction which allowed only one hook on arrays with more than 3 lures was removed from the regulations.
• Skipjack Herring: Creel limit of 100 per day, no length limit.
• Brook Trout: No length limit, except as noted in Trout Regulations for Caney Fork and Clinch rivers .
• Air guns were added to the list of equipment that may not be used to shoot fish and turtles.

• Kentucky Lake: Redear Sunfish – Creel limit of 20 per day.
• Pickwick Lake: Smallmouth Bass – 15-inch minimum length limit.
• Carroll County Lake: This is a newly created lake that will be open to fishing on March 20, 2013.
  • Largemouth Bass – 18-inch minimum length limit, creel limit of 2 per day.
  • Bluegill/Redear Sunfish – No length limit, creel limit of 20 per day in combination.
  • Crappie (all species) – 10-inch minimum length limit, creel limit of 30 per day in combination.
  • Blue/Channel Catfish – No length limit, creel limit of 5 per day in combination.
• Herb Parsons Lake and Whiteville Lake: Crappie (all species) – 8-inch minimum length limit.
• Gibson County Lake: Jug fishing is allowed.

• Liberty Park Lake (Clarksville): Catfish – Creel limit of 5 per day.
• » Region 3
• Cordell Hull Lake: Largemouth Bass slot limit – 16-21 inch protected length range, allowing harvest of 3 under 16 inches and 2 fish over 21 inches.
• Parksville Lake: Spotted Bass – No creel limit on spotted bass and they do not count towards the daily creel limit of black bass (5) in combination with smallmouth and largemouth bass.

• Cherokee Reservoir: Walleye, Sauger, and Saugeye – 15-inch minimum length limit on all three species with a creel limit of 10 per day in combination.
• » Wild Trout Streams — TWRA Regions 3 and 4

Special regulations on sections of 18 wild trout streams were removed or modified. Ten streams returned to the statewide daily creel limit of 7 fish with no length limit. Eight streams will continue to be restricted to single-hook artificial lures only, and the creel limit will be 5 trout per day with no length limit. See Trout Regulations for details.
