Pronghorn Antelope – Controlled

Tag sale deadline: The day before the hunt begins.

No more than two persons may apply as a party for pronghorn antelope.

Controlled hunt application procedures: All pronghorn antelope hunts are controlled hunts where the number of hunters is limited and tags are awarded through a public drawing. Hunters should apply for more than one hunt choice. If your first choice hunt is cancelled, you will receive a postcard describing your hunt choice options.

Hunt area: Entire wildlife management unit unless indicated by an asterisk(*). Please refer to hunt descriptions. A map will be sent if indicated in hunt description by [MAP]. Additionally, some private lands may be closed to all hunting.

Other regulations: No person shall shoot at a pronghorn antelope from a point within 50 yards of a motor vehicle including aircraft, except persons that have an “Oregon Disabilities Hunting and Fishing Permit”.

Landowner preference tags: Pronghorn antelope hunts with an either-sex or a one doe or fawn bag limit occurring on a landowner’s registered property are also eligible. If an applicant is successful in receiving a LOP pronghorn antelope tag for a hunt with an either-sex bag limit, the LOP tag is automatically issued with a bag limit of one doe or fawn.

Notes:

  • The “2016 1st Choice Applicants” column is not influenced by preference points; it only indicates the number of first choice applicants for each hunt in 2016.
  • Tag numbers listed are the 2017 tag numbers authorized by the Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Pronghorn antelope hunters: Nonresidents may purchase raffle tickets.

Private lands will limit access for highlighted hunts. Do not apply unless you have access to a place to hunt.
