Message from the Governor

Brought to you by:

Dear FriendsMaryland is fortunate to be home to bountiful wildlife populations and diverse landscapes, earning us the nickname America in Miniature. From the mountains to the Bay to the Atlantic, the coming seasons provide new opportunities to take part in the storied traditions of hunting, as well as the chance to renew our commitment to conservation and instill a sense of stewardship in our youngest hunters and trappers.

Hunters have long provided invaluable contributions to wildlife management and land preservation for habitat conservation. You support the health of Maryland’s natural resources and encourage responsible outdoor pursuits. Hunters contribute millions of dollars into our State and local economies, not only through fees, but also through the purchase of the goods, services and equipment that make hunting safe, enjoyable and successful.

Thank you for your continued commitment to hunting and our natural resources. I hope you are able to take full advantage of all our great State has to offer this year.

Martin O’Malley

Governor of Maryland
