Moose Hunting Permit

Maine’s moose hunt is a “permit only” hunt. Information on this hunt is contained in a separate publication. 3,862 permits were issued for the 2011 moose hunt. Each permittee may select a subpermittee to hunt with them. Applications are available by January 31. A person selected to received a moose permit may not then purchase an apprentice license to satisfy the licensing requirement.
