This section of the 2012–2013 Hunting Seasons and Regulations provides information related to all lands managed for hunting by Wildlife Resources Division.

The information is presented by Game Management regions. Each listing provides the specific information applicable to that WMA/PFA/State Park. However, if you require additional information, a contact number is provided with each listing.

Please review the legend below. Each listing will have a list of applicable symbols located in its header as a quick reference. It is strongly recommended that you review the WMA Q & A information.

From Cordele Take U.S. HWY 280 west 0.5 miles. Turn right on Fish Hatchery Rd., go 1.4 miles.

Special Regs

Doerun Pitcherplant Bog contains rare species and sensitive habitats. To protect these resources, vehicular access is limited to entrance road and parking area. ATVs and horses prohibited.

From Doerun Take HWY 133 south two miles; turn left at Natural Area sign.

From Vienna Take HWY 27 to HWY 230, turn right; go 1 mile; veer left on River Rd. and go 6 miles to entrance sign.

No hunting within 200 yards of a house, dock, building, or other structure, or a developed recreation area (i.e. beach, campground, boat ramp, etc.).

Waterfowl

Waterfowl hunting permitted on portions of lake in Georgia, except within 200 yards of a public park, road, cabin, or other developed areas. Areas within Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge have separate regulations.

Alligator

May be hunted during open archery deer dates concurrent with the alligator season in accordance with rules and regulations pursuant to alligator hunting.

From Ft. Gaines This WMA consists of 5 different tracts of land that can be found at various points along the lake shore. From Colquitt Firetower Tract is 1 mile west of Colquitt on HWY 91. Willoughby and Oldhouse tracts: From Colquitt take U.S. 27 North to first paved road; turn left and go 1 mile to Willoughby Tract and 2 miles to Oldhouse Tract. Check station is located near entrance to Willoughby tract.

Only Quality Bucks with 15″ outside spread or 16″ main beams are legal. Montezuma Bluff Natural Area contains rare species and sensitive habitats. To protect these resources, vehicular access is limited to boat landing road. No ATVs or horses allowed.

Directions

From Montezuma Take HWY 49 north 1 mile to boat landing road; turn left; area lies along river bluff north and south of Boat Landing Road.
