Q: What is a QUOTA hunt?
A: A QUOTA hunt is a hunt that allows a predetermined number of hunters to participate. A QUOTA is placed upon a hunt for several reasons: to protect the natural resources (wildlife and their habitats); to provide a high quality hunting experience; and to maintain a high level of safety.
You must submit an application and be selected in order to participate in a QUOTA hunt (this includes children or any other persons who wish to participate in the hunt).
Attention all quota hunt participants—This is must-read information!
In an effort to better serve you, the hunters, we have redesigned the quota hunt system. It is very important that you read through all of the information in the Quota Hunt section of this book. Significant changes have occurred that will effect you! The only way to apply for ANY quota hunt is through the online quota system at: www.gohuntgeorgia.com
Even if you have applied for online quota hunts in the past, you will need to create an account in the NEW quota hunt system (many of the quota turkey hunters have already done so).
Instructions on how to Create an Account can be found on the ABOUT tab of the new quota hunt system. Please review thoroughly before beginning.
Instructions on how to Apply for a Quota Hunt can be found on the ABOUT tab of the new quota hunt system. Please review thoroughly before beginning.
A list of all Application Deadlines can be found on the ABOUT tab of the new quota hunt system.
Quota permits are non-transferable.
Priority Points
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you enter your Social Security Number (SSN) correctly when creating your new account. The new quota system will use your SSN to transfer your priority points to your new account. If you have priorities points from previous seasons, then please go to the ACCOUNT tab once you are logged into your account. Select “My Priorities” from the dropdown menu. Verify that the system transferred your priority points to your new account. Priority points will appear immediately after your account is created.
