SUPPORT WILDLIFE- New Tags Available!

Georgia’s hunters once again have the opportunity to support wildlife by purchasing one of our new license plates. Your votes decided the top designs and these eye-catching tags are now available!

Wildlife license plates have provided vital funding for the Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division since 1997. The quail plate benefits the Bobwhite Quail Initiative, which depends on tag sales and renewals to restore habitat for bobwhites which also benefits other game species such as rabbits, deer and turkeys as well as nongame species. The eagle plate supports Georgia’s Nongame Wildlife Conservation Fund, which is responsible for conserving the more than 1,000 plant and animal species of concern in Georgia – research and management that also helps game species. The trout tag provides for conservation, protection and restoration of trout.

Here is how we have put your tag dollars to work:

  • Bobwhite quail habitat management, monitoring and research
  • Enhanced habitat for game and non-game wildlife
  • Quota youth quail hunts
  • Bald eagle recovery efforts
  • Trout restoration and stocking

It’s the support of hunters like you that help make this work possible. If you’re an avid outdoorsman, like me, then know that when you buy or renew a wildlife plate your investment in our natural resources is a small way to give back to nature, and ensure it will be there for your enjoyment and for future generations.

Thank you for your support and I hope you will join me in purchasing one of these three bumper billboards for wildlife conservation.
