In 2011, the Division of Fish and Wildlife celebrated its 100 year anniversary. Our Centennial slogan “ Celebrating 100 years of Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Reflecting on the Past, Moving Into the Future” clearly implies that the conservation of our fish and wildlife resources will depend upon generations to come. What better way to reflect on this future than through photography.

As part of our celebration, the Division held a contest soliciting photos of youth participating in fishing and hunting activities. The 27 hunting entries received were judged by professional photographer Kevin Fleming and DNREC employees and photographers Tony Pratt and Freda Barrett. The winning photos in the hunting category are featured here while the winning photos for fishing are presented in the 2012 Delaware Fishing Guide.
