Aquatic Resources Education Center – Smyrna (Old M&M Farms Bldg on Rt 9)
From points North: Use Rt. 13 South to Odessa to left on Rt. 299 East. Take a right on Rt. 9 South. Follow for 11.5 miles to AREC on left.
From Smyrna and Dover: Use Rt. 6, 8, or 42 east to the intersection with Rt. 9.Turn left on Rt. 9 and follow North 1.5 miles to AREC on right.
C & R Center, Norman G. Wilder Wildlife Area, Petersburg
From Dover: Take Rt 13 3.7 miles south to Camden where Rt 10 intersects Rt 13. Drive 7.0 miles west on Rt 10.
From Rt 13 at Woodside, drive west on Rt 10A (Henry Cowgill Road). At the intersection of Rt 10 and Rt 10A, , drive 0.4 miles and turn left on Five Foot Prong Road Drive approximately one mile on Five Foot Prong Rd. and merge into Firetower Road. Turn right (south) onto C & R Center Road and drive 0.6 miles to the C & R Center driveway on the left. (about 50 yards past the edge of the woods) The building is located well back off the main road.
Cedarfield Ruritan Club – Milford
From Route 113 South: Head South on Rt. 113. Before coming to the Rt. 113/Rt. 1 split you will see I.G. Burton car dealership on your right. Pass the dealership and immediately take the 1st right onto Tub Mill Pond Road. Wind around the “S” curve and the Ruritan Club (white building) is on your left.
Delmar Fire Hall – Delmar
From “up State” locations: Follow State Rt 1 south take exit 97 towards Salisbury/Norfolk onto Rt. 13 South. Go 50.0 miles. Turn right on Rt. 54 and go 0.9 mile. The Fire Hall is on the right at North Bi-State Blvd and East Grove Street, Delmar.
From Rehoboth Beach Area: Follow Rt. 9 or 24 west to US Rt 13. Follow US 13 south approx 7 – 8 miles. Turn right on Rt. 54 and go 0.9 mile. The Fire Hall is on the right at North Bi-State Blvd and East Grove Street, Delmar.
DNREC / Div F & W Auditorium in the R & R Building, 89 Kings Highway in Dover
From US 13, turn west on Loockerman Street. Cross the bridge and turn right at the first traffic light (next to the Post Office). The road leads directly into the DNREC building parking lot.
Dupont Nature Center – Milford
From Milford or Rt 1, take Rt 36 East towards Slaughter Beach about 4.6 miles. At the sign “40 MPH speed limit” turn left on Lighthouse Road and drive to the end of the road.
Killens Pond State Park – Felton
From points North: Follow Rt. 13 South. Continue on Rt. 13 until you pass through the town of Felton. (Look for signs for Killens Pond State Park). At the next intersection (Rt. 13 and Killens Pond Road) turn left. Follow Killens Pond Road approx. 1 mile until you see the Park Entrance on the right. Turn right into the park. Take the next right into the Park Office parking lot.
From points South: Follow Rt. 13 North. Continue North on Rt. 13 approx. 5 miles past the town of Harrington until you reach the intersection to Rt. 13 and Killens Pond Road. Turn right onto Killens Pond Road. Follow Killens Pond Road approx. 1 mile until you see the Park Entrance on the right. Turn right into the Park Office parking lot.
Ommelanden Hunter / Trapper Education Center and Range – Rt 9, New Castle
From the City of Wilmington: Follow Rt. 13 South towards New Castle. Continue following Rt. 13 past the split at Rt. 40. Pass the traffic light at the Beaver Brook Apartments, Beaver Brook Shopping Center and Chaddwyck. Pull into the third turn lane and turn left onto Federal Lane. There are signs for Ommelanden and the Kirkwood Soccer Club in the median. After turning left, follow Federal Lane until it connects with Rt. 9 (River Road). Turn left onto Rt. 9 North and travel approx. 100 yards. The facility is located on the right side of River Road and has a large wooden sign and a gate at the entrance. Ommelanden is across from the Kirkwood Soccer Club.
From points North: Follow I-95 South. Take exit 4A towards the Christiana Mall Road and Rt.s 1 and 7 South. Stay in the left lane and follow Rt. 1 South. Pass the exits for Rt.s 273 and 40. Get off at exit 156B on the left towards Rt. 13 North. At the first intersection are two gas stations and a Wawa. Turn right at this light onto Hamburg Road. Follow Hamburg Road until it ends at Rt. 9 (River Road). Turn left onto Rt. 9 North. Ommelanden is approx. 2 miles on the right. There is a large wooden sign and a gate outside the facility. Ommelanden is across from the Kirkwood Soccer Club.
From points South: Follow Rt.s 1 and 13 North over the Rt. 1 C&D Canal Bridge. Take the first exit after the bridge and turn right towards Delaware City. Turn left at the second traffic light and head north on Rt 9 between the refinery and the oil tanks.Drive north about 3 miles on Rt 9. There is a large wooden sign and a gate outside the Ommelanden Range across from the Kirkwood Soccer Club.
Sussex County Hunter Education Training Center at Owens Station Sporting Clay Range and Dog Training Center – Greenwood, 12613 Hunters Cove Road, Greenwood, DE 19950
From Rt 113, take Rt 16 West approx 4.75 miles and turn South (left) onto Owens Rd. Drive approx 0.75 miles and turn left again onto Hunters Cove Rd. Drive approx 0.3 miles to entrance on left side.
From Rt 13, take Rt 16 East, approx 2.5 miles and turn right onto Hunter’s Cove Road. Drive straight across Owens Rd (stop sign) then drive 0.3 miles to entrance on left side.
Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge – Milton
From points North: Take Rt 1 south to the intersection of Rt. 1 and Rt. 16 near Milton (Refuge sign posted). Turn left on state Rt. 16. Follow Rt. 16 East toward Broadkill Beach. At 1.1 miles down the road turn left onto Turkle Pond Road. Follow Turkle Pond Road, 1.6 miles to office/visitor center.
From points South: Follow Rt. 1, US Rt 13 or Rt. 113 to Delaware Rt. 16. Take Rt. 16 East . Stay on Rt. 16 toward Broadkill Beach. Turn left on Turkle Pond Road, into the NWR . 1.6 miles to office/visitor center.
Taylor’s Bridge Community Center
From Odessa at US RT 13: Follow Rt 299 South and East. From Rt 299 turn left onto Rt 9 also called Taylor’s Bridge Road. About 6.6 miles from Odessa, at the old lighthouse, Rt 9 makes a sharp right turn to the south and becomes Flemings Landing Road. The Taylor’s Bridge Community Center (old brick schoolhouse) is about 100 yards south of the turn on the east side of the road.
St. Jones Reseve DNEER – Dover – 818 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover, DE 19901
From State Rt 1, turn East onto Rt 9 just south of Dover Air Force Base. Immediately turn right onto Kitts Hummock Road. The entrance to the St Jones Reserve is on the right side approx one mile from the turn off.
Trap Pond State Park Nature Center – Laurel
From points North: Follow Rt. 13 South. Continue South on Rt. 13 until you reach the town of Laurel (look for signs for Trap Pond State Park). Turn left at the intersection of Rt. 13 and Rt. 24. Follow Rt. 24 for approx. 5 miles and turn right on Baldycypress Lane. Continue on Baldycypress Lane until you cross over the spillway bridge. Take the second left after the bridge. (The Park Entrance). Continue along that road until you come to a stop sign. At that stop sign turn right. Continue until you see the Nature Center Building on the left.
University of Delaware Research & Education Center Annex near Georgetown
Located on the south side of Rt 9 approximately 4.5 miles west of Rt 113 .
From Rt 113 in Georgetown: Go west on Rt 9 approximately 4.5 miles. Pass Sussex Tech, pass the Sussex Tech stoplight approx. ½ mile to reach the U of Del REC building on the left. Entrance in rear of building.
From Rt 13 in Laurel: Go east on Rt 9 approx. 2.5 miles past the intersection of Rt. 20 (stoplight). The U of Del REC will be on the right side of Rt. 9. Parking in the rear of the building.
Kent County Hunter Education Training Center at Little Creek Wildlife Area – Rt 9 Dover / Little Creek

The Little Creek Wildlife Area is located on the east side of Rt 9, approximately one mile south of Little Creek.
