Waterfowl Hunting on Public Lands

Waterfowl hunters have a variety of opportunities to hunt on public lands in Delaware. The following areas have waterfowl hunting available. Refer to individual area maps for specific area rules, lottery days, times, and locations.

Lottery Areas

Augustine, Cedar Swamp, Woodland Beach, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge/

Kelley Island, Little Creek/Ted Harvey, Prime Hook, Assawoman

First-Come-First Served From Blinds or Blind Sites Only*

Milford Neck/Cedar Creek, Piney Point (Assawoman)

*Most areas have state built blinds that are not grassed, some are open for the public to build blinds.

First Come-First Served Jump Shooting

C&D Canal, Reedy Island, Little Creek (south of Pickering Beach Road and north of Port Mahon Road), Blackiston, Norman G. Wilder, limited areas of Milford Neck, Marshy Hope, and Nanticoke

Disabled Waterfowl Hunting Access

Refer to table on Licensing & Permits and area maps for accessible areas and reservation procedures.
