Hunting Regulations Icon California Hunting

Hunting licenses are sold at most of the following CDFW offices and at authorized license agents statewide. License sales are also available online at www.ca.wildlifelicense.com/InternetSales and by telephone at (800) 565-1458. To purchase hunting items via online or telephone sales, you must already have hunter education on file in the Automated License Data System (ALDS).

CDFW Offices No Longer Accept Cash

CDFW no longer accepts cash at the License and Revenue Branch and regional license offices. Checks, money orders, or any debit or credit card with the Visa or Mastercard logo are accepted. Cash transactions are available for all items sold at authorized local sales agents. Search for a license agent near you at www.ca.wildlifelicense.com/InternetSales/OutletSearch/FindOutlet.

Share your Photos

Wildlife, scenic and successful hunt photos considered for publication in the California Hunting Digest must be high resolution TIFF or JPEG files. For successful hunt photos, the animal must be in a natural setting (not in the bed of a pickup, for example), cleaned up, and properly tagged. Photos of non-tagged animals will not be considered. Along with your image file, please provide your name, and the hunt zone or special hunt title.
