12MSAB-Directors-Message-Lead-Pic.jpgThe successful management of Mississippi’s natural resources is bolstered by conservation minded sportsmen and sportswomen. Mindsets of revering our state’s natural beauty, wildlife resources, and fishing opportunities can easily become a generational legacy.

I have hunted and fished with my sons nurturing the importance of preserving and enjoying our natural resources and sustaining environments to guarantee that this heritage continues. In turn, they have introduced the appreciation of these outdoor pleasures to their own children.

What are your poignant memories? If you are a sportsman, more than likely those evoked memories are laced with treasured thoughts of parents and grandparents who introduced you to the outdoor pleasures that comprise the Magnolia state.

My advice, get outside and enjoy the 2012-2013 hunting seasons and fishing opportunities with your family. It’s never too late to begin a lasting family tradition.
